Stage 17 is best known as Deep Space Nine's massive Promenade set. Additionally the Paramount Studio Group web site lists Stage 17 as used for Star Trek V.
Stage 17 featured one of the most elaborate sets ever built for television, the Deep Space Nine promenade. This massive set represented one-third of the "real" Promenade.
Because the Engineering set was on a larger set when originally constructed in First Contact, the walls had to be modified to make the set smaller. Additionally, the set was too small to fit the corridor, so it actually protruded through the stage door, into the alleyway. This is the corridor that Data ran out of when jumping to the Scimitar.
The Engineering set also tripled as the Engineering Lab where B4 was
re-assembled, as well as Astrometrics [4].
