The Vor'cha class cruiser is the first new Klingon ship design in The Next Generation era. The design called for a shape that resembled classic Klingon lineage, but looked much more sophisticated. Thus, many triangular, beveled panels were included on the studio model.
This is the first model I built, complete with paint and nothing else. Any light sources visible in the photographs were digitally added. From this model on, it was decided that all models will have a proper internal lighting system.
The paint job is extremely simple: it is a forest green enamel spray from Canadian Tire. In normal light it looks very uninteresting, being flat, unweathered, and much too deep in colour. The only thing that makes this model interesting to photograph is the detailed panel work that was there from the start.
